before even moving, you find yourself spreading in the Now~Here, deeply ensconced between what was behind and what is in front . you stare at a crack in the wall long enough for time to start Slipping .
Some Thing foreshadows, It bobs up and down on the surface of awareness, resounding all the way into the Fringes of your nerve endings and your never endings . on that newfound land on the tips of your tongue, you taste Freedom.
you notice an eye (i) in the back of your head. Some Thing… someone is multiplying . all the Figures Residing in interior rooms and landscapes, announce themselves and Coil around It. some are involved, others just stopping by, then go and play with their names(n)akes in the Background.
they exercise the liberty to Circle~Back at a later time, while It keeps Swelling in the private ripples of their thoughts. the Souffleuse ~ like a spider ~ is shooting silk threads from spinneret glands, Weaving a Web inside her own body. Pyromania Involuntaria keeps a flickering eye on It, ready to feed the ceremonial fires in our backyard with whatever is begging to be burned, while she smiles without showing teeth.
you sit down to stroke the nicotine worm. Hydrophis Spiralis comes Slithering in and stretches herself out on your lap. “hypothetically speaking, if you had to disappear and start a whole new life, what would it be like?” she asks. the Ornamental Hermit rushes in too eagerly: “well, it Turns Out sometimes i vanish on a tuesday and reappear somewhere else by wednesday in the early evening!”
you tell both of them they know very well, that’s not really how this story began. Hydrophis summons one of your past selves to Home in on the Seance and says: “but if there ever was a new life to be lived, wouldn’t it be almost exactly like this?”
